White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy Final Report (2002)
Commissioned by President Clinton in March 2000, the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy issued this final report in March 2002 after reading or listening to testimony from over 700 organizations and 1000 individuals. The report includes 29 formal recommendations and 100 action steps. This report is 233 pages. (PDF)
Institute of Medicine Report on Complementary and Alternative Medicine in the United States (2002)
This is the Executive Summary only from the comprehensive commissioned by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) in 2002 at the request of 16 institutes within the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Coalition for Patients' Rights Statement (2006)
The Coalition for Patients' Rights was created in 2006, initially in opposition to efforts to curtail the scope of practice of many healthcare disciplines, on the part of the American Medical Association and the Scope of Practice Partnership. IHPC and ACCAHC are both members of the Coalition for Patients' Rights.
