NED is directed by John Weeks, a nationally-known writer, speaker and organizer of multi-disciplinary and cross-stakeholder integration initiatives. He believes that sustainable healthcare reform requires creating more respect and understanding between the health professions disciplines. Weeks co-founded the Clinician Workgroup on the Integration of CAM (Washington State, 1998), organized the influential Integrative Medicine Industry Leadership Summits (2000, 2001, 2002), served on the steering committee of the National Policy Dialogue (2001), and fundraised the initial backing for the Integrated Healthcare Policy Consortium. He serves on the IHPC Executive Committee. His focus as a writer, researcher, and speaker is on business of integration issues. Weeks is publisher-editor of Integrator Blog News and Reports, an informational exchange between the parties to integration and health reform efforts.
