David O'Bryon, Chair
David Scott O'Bryon has served as the Executive Director of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges since 1995. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), a designation given by the American Society of Association Executives. Among his duties, he represents the ACC on the Secretariat board of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and holds a board seat on the Federation of Schools of the Allied Health Professions. He has been a leading participant and architect in all major national legislation involving the chiropractic profession for over twenty years. In addition to his national work he wrote the laws governing chiropractic in the District of Columbia, their ancillary procedures bill and their independent board bill. He began his career working for the United States Congress serving on the staffs of two Representatives. He also served in various leadership positions in Congressional and Presidential campaigns. David has worked with the chiropractic profession in a number of capacities for over twenty years including serving as the director of Government Relations for the American Chiropractic Association and as a consultant to the organization. He founded O'Bryon & Company an association multiple management and consulting firm in 1990. He has been the chief executive officer for several national associations. In September, 2000 the American Chiropractic Association honored O'Bryon with the ACA Humanitarian of the Year Award. In August, 2001 he received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Logan College of Chiropractic [LL.D. (Hon.)]. In 2002 he was elected Treasurer of the Federation of Schools of the Allied Health Professions and selected to membership in Fellow in the International College of Chiropractors (FICC).
